- When you have holed out in a Friend Match, you can choose a player still on the course by tapping on their name in the list. You will then see them play from their POV.
- The messages on each line of your Friend List come from different places. The red ones are what the friend has done. The blue ones are that friend congratulating you on what you have recently done.
- If you manage to get an albatross or <gasp> a hole-in-one, you can maximize the amount of GP you get from your friends' congratulations by finishing out the round without getting an eagle or setting a new record. You will get 50 or 100 GP from each congratulation instead of the usual 10 for an eagle.
- If you have a problem purchasing something because the game gives you a message, uninstalling and reinstalling will probably help. If not, it may be an issue with your Google/iTunes account.
- On the practice tees, you can redo any shot you have made by tapping the orange circle on the right. Great tool for practicing aim/distance!
- For measuring distance off the green, the fairway mower cuts are three yards wide.
- If you find yourself on the green but too far away for the LP (long putter), you can use your wedge (SW) to chip.
- You don't need to save elevation calcs just for the green. If you have a shot where you want to be on the edge of the fairway but going too far would put you in the rough or the water, you can use the elevation number to calculate how far forward or back you need to move the pointer to arrive near the edge of the fairway. Divide the number by three and move forward it it's higher (orange) or back if it's lower (blue).
- Just like real golf, watch the roll direction after it lands, if it looks like it will go long. That is your line back to the hole if you pass the cup! (Thanks, SpikerShott!)
- Wondering what to do with all that mileage? How about buying Galaxy clubs and selling them for GP? (Thanks, Ringo!)
- If you like being high on your friend list, the first game you play when the weekly rankings are finalized is the one that sets the points that stick with you all week. If a friend has the same handicap as you, those points will be the tiebreaker. So try to play your best course where you can score the most points as your first game after the points reset. (Thanks, Tigar!)
- If your stats suddenly look strange, go to the locker room and check your equipment. Sometimes the bag or clubs can become unequipped. Equip the item, and your stats should be back to normal.
- To find the maximum power-up stats, multiply the equipment's starting stats by 6.15. (Note: this applies to Advanced Power Ups only.)
- Those holes where you need the max to get there, a perfect shot drink will often give you those extra couple of yards. (Thanks, Lady.Nikki!)
- If you use a device with an SD card, try moving Golfstar there. It will give you a bit more memory and may help it to run more smoothly. (Thanks, BevHillsLux!)

ReplyDeleteit says you can power up clubs 13 times, but I can only seem to do it 10 times...how do you power up the extra 3?? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou have to use stars to increase the power ups after 10. But some items are limited to 10 or even 7 power ups.
DeleteI see people who chip in short puts with a sizzling line behind the ball as it heads towards the cup, is this a cheat? Or are they just showing off? Does it give them more points per hole when that shot falls?
ReplyDeleteThe computer will do that even though they are actually putting 9 times out of 10...same thing when u see sand when they are on the green already. Play someone in same room on a friends match, you will see what i mean
DeleteIt is nothing more than a computer glich. What you see cannot be duplicated or is even really happening on the players screen who is doing it.

What's the best way to distribute your stats for Power,Impact,Control&Stanima ?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I should have more stamina since it's very low compared to everything else ?
For whatever stat your Power level is apply half of that to Stamina to maximize stamina effect. For Control and Impact I keep both no lower than 90%.

DeleteTY I was taught 70% but I'm having problems chipping up unless I go over power line.if I go to 100% will it be BETTER? Or stay at 90?? TY
